About Rob

Rob was born in Brisbane, Australia and began drumming when he was 12 years old. While at school, Rob took lessons from Australian Jazz and Latin drummer Jim Latta, and performed in various school ensembles and bands.

After leaving secondary school, Rob took a break from drumming to focus on University studies, but soon found himself gravitating back to the drum kit. Rob gradually increased his playing towards the end of his studies, and later secured drumming duties for the band 'Short Notice' which toured the Solomon Islands in 2005 with a convoy of Australian entertainers to perform for Australian police and military personnel.

Soon after this, Rob was given an opportunity to join Canberra-based band The Tullys and has been with them ever since. During this time, The Tullys have performed at many private, corporate and community events across the east coast of Australia.

Rob is available for gig, session and ensemble work, and also offers private drum tuition aimed primarily at beginner and intermediate players.
